Black church in Iceland

Iceland is a country that fulfills the dreams of adventure seekers. Its diverse landscapes offer a captivating experience where one can encounter all four seasons in a single day while exploring its enchanting terrain.
After seeing captivating footage of Iceland on TikTok and mesmerizing drone videos on YouTube, I immediately became entranced by the country, knowing that I had to to explore it and I loved the idea that I could drive and spend nights in a van, appealed to me greatly, as it offered the opportunity to witness and experience a significant portion of its awe-inspiring landscapes.

My trip to Iceland is something I will never forget and it is one trip I have never for a split second regretted taking.

Tap Water: Absolutely safe to drink, why not grab you bottle and find the nearest stream for some of Iceland’s best and freshest water.

Safety: Iceland is a very safe country, crime is low and violent crimes are rare. As a solo traveller I felt very safe there. Iceland felt like the safest country I have travelled in.

Cost: Iceland is by no means cheap. One thing to take into account if you are doing a road trip in Iceland is fuel costs. Fuel in Iceland tend to be higher than many other countries. You can check here to see the latest fuels prices in Iceland.
As well as fuel, food and alcohol is also very expensive compared to other countries and it’s important to factor this if you are budgeting or estimating the cost of a trip to Iceland.
